Activities

Yanbu National Petrochemical Company (YANSAB) is a prominent Saudi joint-stock company established on February 11, 2006. It is headquartered in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, and operates as an affiliate of the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), which holds a majority stake in the company. YANSAB produces a variety of petrochemical products, including ethylene, ethylene glycol, high-density polyethylene (HDPE), low linear density polyethylene (LLDPE), polypropylene, butene-1, butene-2, MTBE, and BTX. The company has an annual production capacity exceeding 4 million metric tons of petrochemical products. SABIC owns 51% of YANSAB, while the remaining shares are publicly traded. YANSAB commenced commercial operations on March 1, 2010. YANSAB's products serve as foundational chemicals used in a wide range of industrial and consumer goods, contributing significantly to the petrochemical industry in Saudi Arabia and globally.
