Methanol Chemicals Company (Chemanol), originally established as the Saudi Formaldehyde Chemicals Company in 1989, is a leading petrochemical company based in Al Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia. The company underwent a name change to Chemanol following a successful IPO in 2008. Chemanol is a public Saudi joint-stock company with a paid-up capital of SAR 674,508,6301. It is one of the most integrated and reliable global producers of methanol and its derivatives, with a total annual production capacity approaching one million metric tons. Chemanol manufactures a wide range of premium-grade methanol derivatives, including: Aqueous and urea formaldehydes, Superplasticizers, Amino resins, Hexamethylene tetramine, Paraformaldehyde, Dimethyl formamide, Methylamines, Pentaerythritol, Sodium formate. The company's products have diverse applications across various industries, such as agriculture, automobiles, components and additives, pharmaceuticals, and construction. Chemanol is one of the world's largest producers of formaldehyde situated in a single location and the biggest producer in the GCC. The company's integrated production facilities ensure a consistent supply of high-quality methanol derivatives to over 50 countries.
