Activities

Emaar, The Economic City (EEC) was established in 2006 as a public joint stock company listed on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul). The company is 25% owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia. The Company is engaged in the development of real estate in the economic or other zones and other development activities including infrastructures, promotion, marketing and sale of land within development areas, transfer/lease of land, development of buildings/housing units, construction on behalf of other parties, lease of real estate for different purposes, operate educational institutions and hotels. The main activity of the Company is the development of the King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC). KAEC is a vast, 185-square kilometer development located on the Red Sea coast, approximately 120 kilometers north of Jeddah. It is designed to be a modern, integrated city that supports Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 by fostering economic diversification and attracting both local and international investments. KAEC is strategically located to connect the East and West, making it an ideal location for global trade and investment. The city is also one of the stops on the Haramain Railway network, linking it to Jeddah and King Abdulaziz International Airport. EEC continues to invite third-party investors, real estate developers, and operators to participate in the ongoing expansion of KAEC. The city aims to become a leading destination for business, tourism, and urban living in the region.
