The company is a real estate arm of the local investment company, Al Madar Finance & Investment Co., which owns, develops, manages, and sells real estate properties and land in Kuwait. The company performs its activities according to the Islamic Sharia principles. It is mainly engaged in various types of real estate activities, including sale, purchase, and acquisition of land, shares, and bonds of real estate companies; it also conducts studies and provides consultancy in real estate, construction, and maintenance sectors. Itis involved in the rental, ownership, leasing, and management of hotels, tourist resorts, health clubs, guest houses, motels, rest houses, tourism enterprises, exhibitions, parks, residential complexes, restaurants, entertainment, sporting enterprises, and shops. It has 6 subsidiaries operating across Oman, Kuwait and Ras Al-Khaimah (UAE). The company, along with its subsidiaries, also engages in maintenance activities including: civil, electrical, mechanical, elevators, and air conditioning; organizing real estate exhibitions related to the company's projects; arranging real estate auctions, and also the acquisition and management of commercial malls and residential complexes. The company also has an Oman-based subsidiary, called Murooj Gulf Trading, specialized in both construction and contracting.
