Activities

Independent Petroleum Group (IPG) is a public company, based in Kuwait City (Kuwait) and established in September 1976. IPG is listed on the Boursa Kuwait since December 1995. The company engages mainly in the marketing and trading of crude oil, petroleum products, LPG, petrochemicals and fertilizers. The firm focuses on special, high-return markets in the Red Sea, East Africa and the Indian Sub-Continent. Its principal activities include the trading of crude oil and petroleum products; terminal and distribution facilities; joint ventures and strategic investments in petroleum storage facilities; consulting services in the petroleum and petrochemical fields, and other events related to the petroleum industry, besides the ownership of vessels, ship chartering, and other related services.

The company operates through its subsidiaries, working across Southern and Central Asia, British Islands, the Caribbean, Southern Africa, Eastern Africa, Northern Africa, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Its wholly owned subsidiaries include: Independent Petroleum Group Limited and Independent Petroleum Group (Asia) Pte. Ltd., which deal in the trade of crude oil and petroleum products; Independent Petroleum Group of Kuwait Ltd., Independent Petroleum Group (Southern Africa) Pte. Ltd., and D&K Holdings LLC, which is a shipping company. IPG also has interests in terminal lines, pipelines and shipping.
