Horizon Food was established in 2017 with a clear vision aligned with the Saudi Arabia Vision 2030, a comprehensive plan aimed at diversifying the Saudi economy. Recognizing the importance of the food industry, Horizon Food set out to address a specific concern: food poisoning incidents related to shawarma consumption. Studies revealed that shawarma accounted for 70% of such incidents due to improper handling and inadequate ingredients during preparation. Horizon Food is the first factory in Saudi Arabia dedicated to producing ready-made shawarma molds. These molds come in various types (chicken and meat) and sizes, adhering to international specifications. The factory operates in the third industrial city in Dammam on an impressive 5000 m² area. The production process is closely supervised by a quality team with extensive experience in food safety. The goal is to ensure that the shawarma molds meet the highest standards, providing safe and delicious products to consumers. Due to high demand, Horizon Food expanded its factory in early 2020, increasing the total area to a substantial 19800 m². This expansion allowed them to serve an even larger customer base. The factory boasts state-of-the-art production lines and integrated technology, sourced from more than five German companies. These technologies adhere to the highest European specifications for shawarma production. In 2022, Horizon Food transformed from a limited liability company to a closed joint stock company. This move paved the way for offering 20% of its shares in the Saudi market, enhancing its presence and competitiveness. Horizon Food aims to provide high-quality, safe, and valuable food products to consumers. Additionally, Horizon Food is involved in importing livestock, particularly distinguished Romanian sheep with high-quality meat resulting from organic nutrition on green Romanian pastures.
