The National Company for Learning & Education was established in 1958 by Sheikh Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Khudair. It marked a pioneering journey by founding the Model Education Schools, which included both kindergarten and elementary levels for boys and girls. Notably, the NCLE founded the first girls' education school in Riyadh, with an initial student body of around 50 students. These early schools were housed in rented buildings, first in the Malaz neighborhood on Sixty Street and later on Jarir Street. Over time, the NCLE expanded its educational choices and facilities, eventually constructing comprehensive school buildings in the Rayyan district that catered to all educational stages: kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school. These campuses now accommodate more than 32,000 students and offer both national and international curriculum programs, including the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Beyond education, the NCLE operates as an investment holding company. Its portfolio includes not only schools but also investments in sports, recreation, and sports clubs specifically designed for school students.
