Activities

Medicare Group Q.P.S.C. (MCGS), established in late 1996, is a Qatari public shareholding company listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange. Specializing in building unique hospitals and clinics, the group operates Al Ahli Hospital, its flagship healthcare center, and plans to develop additional medical and healthcare facilities such as Al-Ahli Center for Healthy Nutrition (Hemya), Enaya Healthcare Services, and Al-Ahli Center for Rehabilitation & Physiotherapy (Reaya).

Founded by ten businesspeople in 1989, the project initially aimed to construct a 100-bed private hospital for pediatrics, obstetrics, and gynecology in Wadi Al-Sail, thanks to land provided by the Qatari government.

An Emiri Decree in 1995 marked the founding of Al-Ahli Hospital, attracting new investors and expanding the founders to 100 members. A founding committee, led by Mr. Abdul Rahman Eisa Al-Mannai, decided to build a multi-specialty hospital with 250 beds, aiming to offer elite healthcare services akin to a five-star hotel.

By 2001, the hospital's financial structure was aligned with Islamic principles, and by 2004, it was equipped with the latest medical technology. The hospital officially opened in November 2004, enhancing access to advanced healthcare services in the community.
