Vodafone Qatar and Al Meera Consumer Goods Company (almeera) have announced a new strategic partnership bringing together their loyalty programmes, iPoints and wafa, to give customers greater flexibility in how they use their rewards across telecom services and everyday shopping.
As part of the partnership, Vodafone Qatar customers will be able to redeem their iPoints at almeera stores, while almeera customers will be able to convert their wafa points into Vodafone iPoints, providing access to a wider range of lifestyle benefits.
The collaboration reflects both companies' commitment to creating greater value, flexibility, and convenience for their customers by connecting loyalty programmes across complementary sectors.
It also marks the first phase of a broader long-term partnership between Vodafone Qatar and almeera, with both organisations exploring further opportunities to develop integrated customer experiences.
For almeera, the partnership supports the continued evolution of wafa from a traditional retail loyalty programme into a broader customer rewards and engagement ecosystem, giving members more choice in how they use their rewards.
The partnership also reflects almeera's continued investment in technology, digital platforms and customer intelligence, supporting the development of more seamless and personalised experiences for wafa members.
Partnerships with key organisations across Qatar are an important part of this approach, helping to extend the value and relevance of wafa beyond grocery shopping and into more areas of customers' everyday lives.
Baran Yurdagul, COO at Vodafone Qatar, said: "This partnership reflects our continued commitment to enhancing the customer experience and delivering greater value. By expanding the iPoints programme through strategic partnerships with organisations such as almeera, we are creating more opportunities for customers to benefit from the programme, while continuing to strengthen our offering beyond connectivity."
Jassim Mohammed al-Ansari, CEO of almeera, commented: "wafa is evolving beyond a traditional retail loyalty programme. Our partnership with Vodafone Qatar gives customers greater flexibility to use the value they earn across two programmes that are part of their everyday lives. As we continue to expand the wafa ecosystem, our focus is on building partnerships that make loyalty simpler, more useful and more rewarding for our customers."
