Burgan Bank KPSC has been awarded the MEIRA Gold Standard Certification 2026, recognizing the Bank's continued commitment to high standards of Investor Relations (IR), transparency and engagement with the investment community.
Introduced by the Middle East Investor Relations Association (MEIRA) for the first time in 2026, the Gold Standard Certification is designed to recognize excellence in Investor Relations and effective communication between listed companies and the investment community. The certification provides an independent assessment of participating companies' IR programs and represents a new initiative by MEIRA to recognize and promote strong Investor Relations practices across the region.
For Burgan Bank, the certification reflects the Bank's continued focus on strengthening its Investor Relations function and maintaining transparent, consistent and meaningful engagement with shareholders, investors and analysts. Burgan Bank views Investor Relations as a two-way channel: providing clear, timely and relevant information on the Bank's performance, strategy and priorities, while also listening to the perspectives and information needs of the investment community.
This commitment is supported by Burgan Bank's dedicated Investor Relations website, featuring advanced IR tools and providing shareholders, investors and analysts with convenient access to financial results, investor presentations, annual reports, regulatory disclosures and other key information. The Bank also launched a dedicated Investor Relations mobile application last year, alongside other digital investor resources, further enhancing access to timely and relevant information and supporting effective engagement with the investment community.
Commenting on the achievement, Khalid Al Zouman, Group Chief Financial Officer at Burgan Bank, said:"The MEIRA Gold Standard Certification is a meaningful recognition of the progress we have made in continuously strengthening our Investor Relations practices. At Burgan Bank, we believe effective investor relations is built on transparency, consistency and genuine engagement. This recognition reinforces our commitment to providing our shareholders, investors and analysts with clear, timely and relevant information, while ensuring that their perspectives and feedback remain an important part of our dialogue with the market."
Al Zouman added: "As the inaugural edition of the MEIRA Gold Standard Certification, this recognition is particularly significant. It reflects the importance we place on the quality of our disclosures and communications, as well as our continued commitment to developing an Investor Relations function that evolves with the needs of the investment community."
Hamad Al Bader, Senior Manager - Strategic Solutions, Sustainabiltiy & IR at Burgan Bank, said: "Investor Relations plays an important role in connecting Burgan Bank's financial performance and strategic priorities with the information needs of the investment community. The MEIRA Gold Standard Certification recognizes the importance of maintaining a disciplined, transparent and consistent approach to that dialogue. It also reflects the collective efforts across the Bank to ensure that our financial and corporate information is communicated clearly and effectively."
Al Bader added: "We view Investor Relations as a two-way channel. While it is our responsibility to communicate the Bank's performance, strategy and outlook transparently, it is equally important to understand the perspectives of investors and analysts and the broader market environment. The insights gained through this engagement help us continually refine how we communicate and strengthen our engagement with the market."
Burgan Bank remains committed to further advancing its Investor Relations practices and maintaining high standards of transparency, disclosure and engagement. As the expectations of the investment community continue to evolve, the Bank will continue to strengthen its communication channels and provide shareholders, investors and analysts with clear, accessible and relevant information, supporting constructive and informed engagement with the market.
