A senior delegation from Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), the world's largest aluminium smelter on one site, led by Chief Executive Officer Ali Al Baqali, engaged with key industry stakeholders during London Metal Exchange (LME) Week 2026, exchanging perspectives on market developments and trends shaping the global aluminium industry.

The annual gathering of the global metals and mining community, LME Week kicked off on October 19 and will run until October 23 in London.

The event provided Alba with an important platform to engage with industry stakeholders and stay abreast of developments shaping the global aluminium and broader metals markets, said the company in a statement.

As part of the programme, the delegation attended the LME Metals Seminar on October 19 at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre. The seminar brought together an international audience of more than 800 delegates and industry leaders to discuss the macroeconomic outlook, metals market trends, sustainability and global supply chain dynamics, it stated.

The delegation also attended the LME Dinner, the exchange's flagship annual social gathering, held on October 20 at Grosvenor House Hotel. The event provided a further opportunity to engage with senior representatives from across the international metals and mining community.

Alba's participation in LME Week reflects its continued focus on maintaining strong dialogue with global stakeholders, strengthening market connectivity and staying abreast of developments relevant to the company's long-term positioning and growth, it added.
