The Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) announced on Wednesday that Kuwait Cement Company (KCC) reported that the Board of Directors met and adopted the interim financial statements of the company for the periods ended March 31, 2011. KCC's profit totaled 4,879,364 Kuwaiti dinars compared to KD 4,989,782 in the same period last year. Earning's per share (EPS) came to 7.89 Kuwaiti fils compared 8.07 fils in the same period last year. Total current assets amounted up to KD 62,811,646 while total assets equaled KD 249,074,990. Total Current Liabilities amounted up to KD 40,427,862, whilst Total liabilities totaled KD 103,144,230. Finally, total income and expenses from transactions with related parties amounted to KD 1,105,955 and KD 201,900 respectively. Furthermore, the company announced its plans to commence with the distribution of 10 percent of profits to shareholders registered in the company records on the accrual as of April 24, 2011 starting Sunday, May 8, 2011.
