Cementing its position as a leading Bank in fostering investment opportunities, BankDhofar recently participated as a gold sponsor in Oman-India Investors Meet. The event was held under the patronage of Dr Ali bin Masoud al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry, and aimed at highlighting Oman as an attractive investment destination for the Indian businesses and investment firms.
The event was attended by Tahir bin Salim bin Abdullah al Amri Executive President of the Central Bank of Oman, and senior officials from a number of Omani companies and banks. Indra Mani Pandey, Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman was also present and a number of officials from India. Abdul Hakeem Omar al Ojaili, CEO of BankDhofar, highlighted investment opportunities in Oman, and offers provided by banking industry to Investors aiming to set up large projects in Oman.
Commenting on the importance of sponsoring such events, Abdul Hakeem Omar al Ojaili, CEO of BankDhofar said: "Such events carry great importance to the economy. Oman has the capabilities to attract foreign investment, with political stability, strategic location, developed infrastructure, free economic zones, among other factors. BankDhofar contributes in the growth of the national economy, we work on providing facilities that attract foreign investors."
The event which was organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Muscat Chapter in coordination with the College of Banking and Financial Studies, aimed at familiarising the Indian companies with business and investment environment of the sultanate.
"The event formed a good opportunity for participants to ideas and outlooks as well as inviting Indian businesses to invest in Oman and avail the unique advantage provided by the sultanate." Abdul Hakeem al Ojaili added.
