As the most rewarding bank in Kuwait and the bank closest to the community, Gulf Bank continues to extend this commitment from its customers and the wider community to its own employees. In line with its ongoing efforts to enhance customer experience, and as part of its continued investment in its people, Gulf Bank announced the launch of a new internal Employee Financial Wellbeing Initiative titled "Because You Are Part of the Gulf Bank Family, Your Benefits Are Always Greater."
The initiative aims to enhance employees' banking experience and support their financial wellbeing through a range of exclusive banking benefits designed specifically for Gulf Bank employees.
The initiative offers a comprehensive suite of employee-only benefits, including returns of up to 3.5 percent on their accounts, an interest-free salary advance of up to 2.4 times their salary, credit cards with no annual fees, and loans at a reduced interest rate of 1 percent. It also includes special offers and tailored rewards programs designed to meet employees' needs and help them save more effectively.
Gulf Bank has also introduced special monthly draws for employees based on their credit card spending. Five winners will be announced every month, with each receiving a prize of KD 250. Employees will earn one entry for every KD 10 spent locally, and three entries for every KD 10 spent internationally, with a minimum monthly spend of KD 100.
The initiative aims to deliver tangible value across three key pillars: savings, liquidity, and spending. Through these benefits, employees receive comprehensive financial support that helps them manage their finances with greater ease, while providing them with a smoother and more rewarding banking experience.
Commenting on the occasion, Hamed Al-Tamimi, Acting General Manager of Human Resources at Gulf Bank, said: "We are proud that Gulf Bank is among the leading banks that continue to invest generously in human capital and in strengthening the work environment, whether by providing an ideal workplace for employees or by continuously enhancing their professional and personal capabilities through training and development in collaboration with leading local and international institutions."
Al-Tamimi noted that the initiative comes as part of the Bank's 2030 Strategy, which considers human capital to be its most valuable asset. He added that this approach enhances the quality of the work environment and motivates employees to excel, pointing out that the Employee Banking Experience Initiative is a clear example of the Bank's commitment to providing innovative solutions that reflect its vision of building a supportive and sustainable work environment.
He continued: "This direction reflects Gulf Bank's commitment to designing banking solutions that take into account employees' specific needs and aspirations, while helping them ease life's financial pressures and strengthen the balance between their personal and professional lives."
He added: "To ensure the best possible service, a dedicated banking team has been established within the Human Resources Department under the name Employee Banking Services Team. This team is responsible for providing personalized guidance, faster support, and easier access to the most suitable banking solutions for each employee. The initiative is also supported through multiple communication channels, including emails, SMS notifications, employee sessions, and a series of Gulf Bank Family podcast episodes that highlight the key benefits and opportunities available."
Gulf Bank affirmed that this initiative is aligned with the Bank's strategy and complements a number of decisions and measures aimed at strengthening the work environment. These include ensuring equality between women and men in employment benefits, reducing daily working hours by half an hour, and continuing efforts to promote sustainability, inclusion, equity, and the empowerment of women, youth, and people with disabilities.
The Bank further emphasized that being the most rewarding bank in Kuwait starts from within, by ensuring that employees themselves benefit from a banking experience that is rewarding, supportive, and aligned with their personal and financial aspirations. Through this initiative, Gulf Bank reinforces its position as a bank that remains close to its customers, employees, and the wider community.
