Zain Bahrain, a leading provider of telecom services, innovative technologies and digital lifestyle experience in the kingdom, has appointed Ammar Al Ketbi as its new Chief Executive Officer.

An industry veteran, he has over 22 years of experience in the telecommunications sector and consumer segment.

He has a strong track record across sales, marketing, product innovation, and after-sales operations, driving effective business and growth strategies, particularly during the digital transformation era, said the company in a statement.

Having joined Zain Bahrain in 2003, Al Ketbi has held several leadership roles across the organisation, including Retail Area Manager, Manager of Indirect Sales Channels, and Manager of Retail and Franchise Sales.

He later served as Director of Consumer Sales, before being appointed Chief Consumer Marketing & Sales Officer, a role he held until February 2025. Most recently, he has been serving as Acting Chief Executive Officer.

Al Ketbi holds a Bachelor of Banking and Finance degree from the University of Bahrain and has completed numerous development and training programs that have strengthened his leadership and strategic capabilities, said the statement.

With his extensive industry expertise and deep understanding of the business, Al Ketbi is well positioned to lead Zain Bahrain into its next phase of growth, further strengthening its position as the Kingdom's most awarded network experience and a key enabler of Bahrain's digital transformation ambitions, it added.
